Forcrete microcement wall finish in kitchen

Why we chose Forcrete as our microcement system

Most microcement systems become waterproof because of what sits on top: a thin coat of lacquer. Remove that layer and you are left with a vulnerable surface. That is a risk we are not willing to take. With Forcrete, the waterproofing is in the material itself. That is not a subtle difference. It is a fundamentally different approach. It is the reason we work exclusively with this system.

Waterproofing from within the material

With most systems on the market, water resistance depends on a topcoat: a transparent lacquer that is rolled on after the microcement has been applied. That layer protects well, as long as it remains intact. But after years of wear, cleaning and daily use, the protective layer can thin. The moment the topcoat fails, the material underneath is exposed to moisture.

Forcrete works in a fundamentally different way. The resin formulations are designed so that every layer is water-repellent in its own right. That means the waterproofing is not concentrated in one vulnerable top layer, but runs through the entire system. From the first bonding coat to the final finish, every step provides protection. As installers, that gives us far greater confidence in the long-term result.

A healthy working environment

As an installer, you notice the difference the moment you start working. The resin formulations are solvent-free, low in volatile compounds and virtually odourless. No headaches after a full day in an enclosed bathroom. No discomfort for residents still living in the home. It sounds obvious, but it rarely is.

Many mainstream systems contain solvents that release irritating fumes during application. That means extra ventilation, sometimes personal protective equipment, and always an unpleasant working experience. With Forcrete, none of that applies. We can work in an occupied home without causing any inconvenience to its residents. That is not only more pleasant for us, but also for you.

Only for certified professionals

Forcrete does not sell to everyone. The system is only available to certified professionals who have completed their training programme. No retail sales, no untrained applicators. That selectivity matters to us. It protects not just the product, but also the finished result in your home.

The training covers both theory and practice: material science, substrate preparation, application techniques and colour calibration. Only after achieving certification does an installer gain access to the full product range. That threshold ensures every Forcrete project is carried out by someone who knows the system inside and out.

For you as a client, that means certainty. You know the person applying your floor has been trained by the same manufacturer that develops the material. There is no separation between product and craftsmanship.

Proven in practice

What convinced us was practice, not theory. The formulations were developed through years of real on-site experience across thousands of square metres in homes, restaurants, shops and offices. That translates into materials that behave predictably, layer after layer. No surprises halfway through a project, no colour differences between batches.

We tested several systems before making our choice. With some, the result depended on the sealer. With others, workability was good but durability was mediocre. With Forcrete, quality is built into every layer, from base to finish.

After more than ten years, their earliest projects still look the way they did on day one. No discolouration, no wear spots, no delamination. That says more than any specification sheet ever could.

Our choice

Certified installer, solvent-free system, proven in practice. We did not choose Forcrete because it was the easiest option. We chose it because it was the only option that matched our standard of work. Every floor, wall or bathroom we deliver carries the same promise: durable, waterproof and built to last for years.
