From the Stage to the Surface
Before I ever touched a trowel, I spent my life in movement. I performed with Cirque du Soleil, appeared on Dancing with the Stars and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and took the stage across 36 countries.
When the world stopped in 2020, so did the shows. Like so many artists, I had to find a new way to channel that same energy, precision, and passion that performing had always demanded of me. I found my way into construction, starting out as a traditional plasterer. It’s a deeply skilled craft, but one that left my creative side hungry for more.
Then I discovered Italian plaster. These centuries-old techniques, built on skill and precision, reminded me of something: performance at its highest level. I pursued my certifications through Novacolor and VeroMetal, two of the most respected names in the industry worldwide, and never looked back.
As my craft deepened, I pursued my Forcrete certification. After working with their microcement for over three years, I can say with confidence it is the finest product on the market. It was a natural addition to everything I had already built, rounding out my expertise and allowing me to offer clients an even wider range of exceptional finishes.
The transition from plasterer to decorative specialist was no accident. I flew to Italy for intensive training with Novacolor, where I learned to work with Venetian plaster, marmorino, and tadelakt. Then to VeroMetal in Germany, where I mastered the rare technique of cold liquid metal application. Each certification required weeks of study and hands-on practice, exactly the kind of discipline I had learned on stage.
In 2021, I founded Coated Surfaces, based in Schiedam. Since then, I have completed over 100 projects across the Netherlands and Belgium. From luxury apartments in Rotterdam to historic properties in Amsterdam, from modern villas in Wassenaar to boutique hotels in Antwerp. Every project is a chance to show what craft and dedication can achieve together.

Specialisations
Microcement
Seamless, durable surfaces for floors, walls, bathrooms, and kitchens. Using the Forcrete system, we apply waterproof microcement at just 2-3 mm thickness, ideal for renovation over existing substrates.
Venetian Plaster
Timeless depth and luminosity, hand-applied in the traditional Italian method. Our Novacolor-certified techniques create authentic finishes with a natural lustre that only handcraft can achieve.
VeroMetal® Liquid Metal
Cold-applied real metal for dramatic, one-of-a-kind results. As a certified VeroMetal specialist, we work with bronze, copper, brass, iron, and aluminium, each ageing into a unique patina.
Marmorino
A polished marble-effect plaster with extraordinary texture and elegance. Built from multiple thin layers of marble dust and lime, polished to a deep, natural sheen.
Concrete Effects
The raw, architectural look of concrete without the weight or limitations. Perfect for industrial and minimalist interiors, applied with a controlled technique for the ideal balance between raw and refined.
Exterior Finishes
