The space comes first, not the postcode
A floor in an existing home needs different preparation from a bathroom in a new build. We start with what you want to finish, the surface already in place and how you use the room. Based in Schiedam, we work in every Dutch province, in private homes and commercial interiors. The locations on this page help you find relevant advice; they do not define the limits of our service area.
For renovations, we look at the bond of existing tiles, cracks and transitions to other floors. In a bathroom, the shower, drain and wall-to-floor connections need attention too. Photos give us a first impression; we assess the substrate on site before agreeing the build-up and installation. That way, you choose an approach that fits the room, not just a colour.

How we prepare for work at your property
Whether you live near Schiedam or on the other side of the Netherlands, clear information makes a difference. These are the four points we work through together.

Share your plans
Tell us your location, the intended application and the approximate area in square metres. Have photos of the room and existing surface ready. Let us know when you want to renovate and whether you will be living in the property during the work. This helps us give you relevant advice. - 02
Substrate and finish
During the visit, we assess what the substrate needs and discuss colour and texture. Thresholds, skirting boards, underfloor heating and adjoining rooms matter too. These details determine how the finished surface fits into your interior. - 03
A clear quote
The area, preparation and chosen finish form the basis of the quote. Our pricing page lists the rates and minimum project fee, excluding VAT. A square-metre rate is not a complete project price: discuss access, parking and any site-specific requirements before approving the work. - 04
Coordinate with your renovation
Microcement is applied in several layers. We coordinate working days and drying times with other trades, such as your plumber or kitchen installer. Agree when the room needs to be clear and when you can use it again. That sequence remains essential, including for projects further from Schiedam.

Good to know
Microcement is a thin, seamless finishing material based on cement, minerals and resin. It is applied by hand in multiple layers and is suitable for floors, walls, bathrooms, kitchens and stairs. Because the result depends entirely on the skill of the applicator. Microcement is applied by hand in multiple layers - each layer demands precision in timing and pressure. Microcement starts from 140 euros per m2 for floors and from 180 euros per m2 for walls in wet areas such as bathrooms and showers. The final price depends on the condition of the substrate, the complexity of the space and the total surface area. A floor that requires additional levelling takes more time and materials, and a bathroom with many corners and niches demands more work than an open living floor. For larger projects we offer volume discounts: the more m2, the lower the price per m2. The price per m2 includes material and the application of the complete system. Preparation is charged separately: levelling a tiled floor 15 euro per m2, levelling a bathroom 60 euro per m2, stripping and roughening tiles 500 euro per project and 250 euro per niche. A standard floor project takes an average of five to seven working days, depending on the surface area and complexity. This includes substrate preparation, primer, reinforcement mesh, scratch coat, multiple layers of microcement and the final sealer. Each operation follows the specified drying and recoating times. A bathroom typically takes five working days. It is smaller, but takes more time per square metre because of waterproofing and detailing around drains, niches and connections. Curing after completion is additional. Our terms specify at least 48 hours before light use, 7 days before water exposure and 28 days before full use. No standing water is allowed on the floor during the first 4 weeks. These periods do not replace the product-specific maintenance protocol. Ask us to confirm the waiting period for your finish before water exposure; a longer product-specific waiting period takes precedence.
