Microcement Specialist South Holland

From Rotterdam to The Hague - seamless quality.

About Microcement

Microcement in South Holland

South Holland is the most densely populated province in the Netherlands. From the harbour city of Rotterdam to stately The Hague, from Leiden with its historic city centre to Dordrecht on the water. Each city has its own character, and the same goes for the homes.

In Rotterdam we see a lot of post-war architecture, lofts in converted warehouses and modern new builds along the Maas. In The Hague you find grand townhouses, Hague-style apartments and villas in the dunes. Microcement fits all of these environments because it adapts to the space, not the other way around.

The thin build-up of just 3 millimetres makes microcement ideal for renovations. No demolition, no extra load on the floor construction. Just a seamless surface over the existing substrate. In a province where renovation is common, that is a real advantage.

We are based in the region and work throughout South Holland every day. From a bathroom renovation in Rotterdam-Zuid to a complete living room in Wassenaar. Curious what we can do for your project?

About Coated Surfaces

Discipline As Foundation

Coated Surfaces grew out of a world where precision isn't negotiable. Founder Pom spent years as a professional dancer at Cirque du Soleil. Every night the same movement, down to the millimetre. That might sound far from floors and walls, but it's the opposite.

Microcement demands exactly that same control. Timing, feel, precision. The difference between a good floor and an exceptional one comes down to millimetres. We take the time it needs. No rushing, no half measures. Just lasting surfaces that bring calm to a space.

Applications

Applications in South Holland homes

In Rotterdam we regularly apply microcement in lofts and apartments. The industrial look of a seamless floor fits perfectly with Rotterdam's architecture. In warehouses on Katendrecht or penthouses on the Wilhelminapier, we create continuous surfaces that enhance the sense of space.

In The Hague we often work in grand homes where the existing floor needs to be preserved beneath the new finish. Microcement goes directly over tiles, screed or wooden floors. That saves weeks of demolition and prevents nuisance for neighbours in apartment buildings.

For bathrooms, the Forcrete system is particularly suitable. It is fully waterproof, not just at the surface. Walk-in showers, washbasins and walls all get the same seamless finish. Combined with underfloor heating, warmth distributes evenly through the thin build-up.

Pom gave our bathroom a complete makeover. The walls with beton cire and the floor with microcement. The end result is calm and modern. Very satisfied with Pom's expertise, his way of working, and the final result.

Why Coated Surfaces

Why Coated Surfaces in South Holland

As a certified Forcrete installer, we are one of the few specialists working with a fully waterproof microcement system. Pom applies every layer himself, by hand. No subcontractors, no rushed work.

Our home base is in South Holland, so we know the local architecture inside out. From characteristic Rotterdam building styles to The Hague's townhouses, from dyke houses in Dordrecht to new-build estates in Zoetermeer. That knowledge makes a difference at every inspection and on every project.

We deliver not just a beautiful surface, but a lasting result. The Forcrete system withstands heavy use, moisture and temperature changes. That is exactly what you need in a province where the climate can be demanding.

Process

How does a project work in South Holland?

It starts with a visit to your home or commercial property. We inspect the substrate, discuss your preferences for colour and texture, and assess the practical conditions. After that, you receive a clear proposal with a fixed price.

Execution takes an average of five to seven working days for a complete home. We carefully protect your interior and work with dust screens. Each layer of microcement is applied by hand and must cure before the next one goes on. Afterwards, we walk through the result together.
