Microcement in Bloemendaal

A continuous appearance depends on the surface underneath. Existing tiles can sometimes stay, provided they are firmly bonded, dry and stable. A timber upper floor or a junction with an extension needs its own assessment. A thin decorative finish does not correct structural movement or differences in level.

Across an open kitchen and living room, one floor tone connects the dining table, island and seating area. Before work starts, we agree where the finish ends: under a cabinet plinth, at a sliding door or beside a stone threshold. Necessary movement joints remain part of the design.

Bathrooms require more than attractive walls. Falls, drainage, pipe penetrations and bath junctions must work together. The waterproof Forcrete system needs a suitable substrate; it cannot replace missing falls or poorly prepared plumbing details. A hand-applied texture lets floor and wall feel related without making them identical.

If you have underfloor heating, we coordinate heating and cooling with the substrate preparation and installation. These decisions belong before the kitchen and fitted furniture arrive, while the junctions are still accessible.
